How We Use SMS Messaging

Gibbits uses SMS text messaging to help you connect with friends and grow our community. We only send SMS messages in the following scenarios:

• Friend Invitations: When you choose to invite a friend to Gibbits via SMS, we send a one-time invitation message on your behalf containing a link to download the app.
• Account Notifications: Important account-related messages such as verification codes or security alerts (if you opt-in).

SMS messages are only sent with explicit user consent:

Message Frequency

Invitation messages are one-time only. Recipients will not receive additional messages unless they:

• Download the Gibbits app and create an account
• Explicitly opt-in to receive notifications

Registered users who opt-in to SMS notifications may receive up to 4 messages per month related to account activity.

Opt-Out Instructions

After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent.

Message Content

Invitation messages follow this format:

Messages include the inviter's name (as shown in Gibbits) and a link to join with their unique referral code.

Carrier Charges

Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.

Privacy & Data

Phone numbers entered for invitations are:

• Used only to send the invitation message
• Stored securely and not shared with third parties
• Not used for marketing purposes
• Deleted after 90 days if the invitation is not accepted
